K&N panel filer????

hi all i am wondering about buying a k and n panel filter for my 2006 vectra c sri estate its the 1.9cdti 150 hp

is it worth the money will i see a performance gain and feel the difference or not????

or should i stick to the standard filter

Never had one myself, but I think you're supposed to see a small increase in BHP by about 5-8 or so? Have heard people say that it feels alot better like. I'm sure you'll get a proud owner of one shortly

Gains with flat panel filters are between 3 - 5HP, its unlikely you will actually feel anything but the engine will breathe better. Also search for the airbox mod as without it the air filter is only partially used. Some people do say the notice a slight difference.
K&N is useful if you've some other mods i.e. remap or tuning box as the additional fuel added will benefit from the extra air. Also if you're keeping the filter you will save on air filters every 2 years, but remember to tell your mechanic not to change the air filter! Also do not over oil a K&N as it can contaminate the MAF.

Hope this helps. I've done the airbox mod, added a K&N flat panel and a tuning box; this is very noticable and after 68K of use has not caused any issues with the reliability of the car.
