    Default Fitting Lowered Eibachs

    Evening,

Just received a set of lowered Eibachs and was wondering if it is a straight swap using all ancillary components, or does anyone recommend changing out any ancillary parts for new ones during reassembly.

    Cheers,

Well fitted them yesterday (and you do not need to change any other parts, just in case anyone else was wondering). Very happy. Car sits very slightly lower (about 15mm as per what they are supposed to do) so just right and looks much better, however, the biggest difference is the handling.

It is much taughter, turns in more quickly and is more stable at high speeds. It now feels significanltly sharper. It is marginally harder when going over speed bumps (etc) but this means that it does not wallow like it used to (not that it wallowed that much) and follows the road surface more quickly.

Having come from an Impreza RB5 I always felt that the car was a bit soft but this suspension swap makes it a happy medium between the standard SRi and RB5. The Vectra will never be an RB5 but this has made it just that little bit better and more rewarding.

Just the result I was looking for.

    Cheers,

Pics attached. Not great quality as the car is tightly parked. Anyway, gives you an idea. I will try to get one of the whole car on level ground.

To be fair, it probably looks a little lower than that when on flat ground and you can see the whole car, but not much. It does look lower than standard but is subtle.
