52 Plate 1.8 SRI

Thinking of chopping my astra mk3 in for one of these as I cant modify my taxi Vec C and you guys have given me some bright ideas for getting one of these.

so: some questions:

1. will £5.5K get me a mint condition 52 plate 1.8 SRI with average mileage (45K miles) FSH and in any colour apart from star silver??

2. what do I get on a 52 plate SRI, do I get trip computer, chrome window trims, door kerblights, auto dipping rear view mirror, leather seats, automatic wipers and headlamps, steering wheel stereo controls, front armrest, rear heating ducts, centre rear headrest??

3. am I better off getting an elite 1.8 and sticking sri bumpers/side skirts on it, as I prefer saloon vecs?? or is this too difficult, and will 5.5K get me a FSH 52 plate elite with 45K too??

If you want one for 5.5k or less, you need BCA's help, personally i'd go for the Elite and re-bumper it, or even better, an Elegance, less money, virtually same spec less the leather, wheels aren't important as you will probably replace tham anyway.

elite is looking favourite I must admit, it has leather and rear electric windows and if I'm lucky I may find an elite with all the optional extras, and they come in saloon variant which I prefer.

plus I suppose like you say vauxveteran changing bumpers will be easier than retrofitting leccy windows, leather, sensors, etc.
