    Default worn tyres

    hi guys, i took my vectra to have the wheels balanced today and noticed that the tyres have serious wear on the inside edge but the tracking was checked and was found to be spot on the tyres are about 12 months old with average miles the garage mentioned somthing about the camber but will this rectify the front?

    Did they check the camber or if the steering rack had play? Are your tyres the right pressure?

    yes they said they were one degree either side on the rear but the rear seem to have normal wear its the front that have the problem iv always run on 30psi pressure all round and never had a prob?

    Tracking and camber are different... you will need full alignment to bring the bottom of the wheel out more. usually only effects lowered cars tho so if yours isn't you must have some kind of suspension issue...

    mines a 1.9 cdti sri xp series 2 i think they are lowerd?

    I had weird tyre wear after changing the wheels and suspension and it needed a Hunter 4 wheel alignment cost £85 but all is good now.

    sombody mentioned demon tweeks could check it and sort the the camber but what i dont get is that the tracking was spot on yet the front tyres have serious wear on the inside edge near side being the worst how can setting the camber sort the front?

    My tyre wear was weird on the front and the tracking was fine but the rear suspension was out the Hunter system deals with all 4 wheels and they are adjustable.
