    Angry Estates and Snow/Ice

Is it just mine (1.8 Sri)or are the Vec C Estates all a complete joke in this weather?

Just parked the Vec in the same place as everyone else, they get out no problem and I end up having to Dig mine out?

Never had this problem with my V6 Vec b estate.

My 1.8 LS struggles too, I think it's just to light at the front to get any grip + wide summer tyres don't help.... It just sits on top of the snow.

    Vehicle : Vectra C Estate (150) Nav

    Trim : SRi

    Engine : 1.9 CDTi (150)

    Year : 2006

    Mileage : 126000

My 1.9TDi SRi estate has had no problems so far. Perhaps because the diesel has higher torque at lower revs? I don't have any traction control to turn off so have not had any issues with that. My old Volvo S80 used to really struggle with the hill at the top of my road in the snow/ice (they never grit our estate) but the Vectra has been absolutely fine.

same my 150 sri was ok when it first snowed and had no problems getting about, but as it compacted and turned icy and unable to turn the dam tc off it was hellish, unable to put any weight on the loud pedal at all had to use the engines torqe. Wifes 1.7 cdti astra never got stuck once and scaled any incline with ease.
