Which diesel engine??

Seeing as I'm not getting as much for my Astra Turbo I need to rethink which Vectra to get.

I'm after very good fuel economy and would like some power for over taking, also realiabilty has to be a top priority.

I know the 150bhp diesel is probably the best but I don't think my funds are going to stretch that far now.

depends on how much your looking to spend mate. i got ma 05 150 cdti with navi and 62000 0n the clock for 6000 from pete vardy

the smaller vec 19.cdti (120bhp) is the one for you then

2.2 DTI SRIs ARE GOOD TOO. 125BHP 135mph and quite quick. I average 50 mpg reguarlly in mine and thats not motorway driving either.

I'd look for a 120 CDTi if your budget is limted. But there are more 150's about so you may find a 150 within budget.

i have had a 2.2 dti sri i got for £2700 had it was really good quite quick and good on fuel (average 38mpg) . i now have the v6 cdti i got for £3900 VERY quick but not so good on fuel (average 32mpg) but i only got the v6 3 weeks ago and its been really crap weather so short journeys in lower gears might see a improvement as the weather gets better.

Well made a decision on which Vectra engine. Went for a 2.2DTi SRi 130 Vectra b on a 51 plate. Only £1750 with T&T, not a Vec C as my budget wouldn't run to some of the prices I've seen them advertised for.
