When mine was replaced under warrantee, they did the lot, but at a VX garage. You could always ask them?

YES! Defiantly get the swirl motor / solenoid.

They 'learn' to a inlet behaviour so a used one on a new inlet will not be good.

That's crap in my opinion. The movement of the flaps it's exactly the same. I changed my inlet without the motor and it works 100% as it should.

This is the exact movement as the original inlet. What can possibly go wrong if you don't change the motor, right?

Well - each to there own..

But take a look from the official manufacturers PDF sheet - Important Notice on page one:

    http://www.ms-motor-service.com/xima...093_en_web.pdf

Sorry - I believe the manufacturers this time.. and if you are going to the whole expense of replacing the inlet - why wouldn't you replace this - in comparison they are not expensive, doesn't make any sense not too..

Up to you tho - but seriously REPLACE IT.

It is a separate part and will NOT come with the inlet, so order it up.

if you replace the manifold and not the actuator, in 6 months when the actuator fails you will have to pay out for the manifold to be taken off again not cheap

    make sure they do it
