    Default Cold starting problems!

2nd post on here about this, basically a 2005 1800 duel fuel is a right b**ger to start when cold, its taking between 12-15 seconds of cranking before it fires up. ive changed the coil pack and plugs (using the recommended lpg plugs at over £5 each.....) and made no difference. when started it runs fine and i dont think the lpg system is effecting it as it always starts on petrol.
does it have some form of cold start device fitted to these engines? and if so anyone had issues with them?
its starting to spoil my previous god thoughts about the car which is a shame as everything else is great with it!
    would apprciate any thoughts/ideas
Ps- no faults showing, car has done 50K with full man dealer history serviced last about 1500 miles ago, the plugs that came out looked fine too.
    Thanks!

It 'could' be sensor related. Yes the ECU has a 'cold start' function but it will only adapt the fuel injection rate and shape IF it knows about it. Does your temp gauge work OK?

Or, it could be perfectly normal witha dual fuel system (as it will pgysically differ slightly from pure petrol system)

Temp gauge is a problem which i thought was stat related, but i wasnt sure if that would affect cold starting? the gauge shows zero most of the time unless round town when it creeps up a little, i was thinking this was a stat problem and have a new one to fit when it warms up a little.i think i may need to change the stat asap to try to rule this out.
