Default Thinking of Getting A Towbar

Ok, Im 20 years old, I get called grandad for driving a Nice big Comforatable car, (and drive like one to see how high a number I can get on Average MPG!)

About to make this worse, as I am thinking of getting a towbar fitted so I can pull a caravan.

Just need advice where to get one from, and/or supplied and fitted. roughly how much Im looking at spending!

    Cheers,

    Chris

    Here's a couple on Ebay.

Vauxhall do them also, electrics are a lot easier if they 'plug in' but are far more expensive than doing yourself (they can't simply be connected to the light clusters though) or do you need it to be fitted for you?

Fitting the bar itself is really easy.

the vauxhall one just plugs into rear fusebox + 1 earth bolt under left tailight .you can also get a detachable one so as it doesnt spoil you good looks . you get vauxhall ones on ebay from time to time & arent rocket sceince to fit

Was on the Towsure site the last night (helping my Mum and Dad out before anyone asks) and noticed they now have detachable swan neck towbars etc. For bar alone it was around £130 IIRC.
Not sure if they are any good etc, but might help.

Had mine done by a local motorists shop (TMC in Leighton Buzzard). Supplied and fitted a Witter bar (not the detachable one) for about £215. They even came to my house to fit it, took them a couple of hours and did a neat job.

I don't use it for towing, I have a bike rack that clamps over the ball.

The Vauxhall towbar is definately the best to go for IMO, no cutting of wires or messing about, and the detachable is an excellent idea for when its not in use. You could also try http://stores.channeladvisor.com/tow...FQRdMAodkihBmg
