    Eek Pulling my chain???

Hi all, just had the Vec Estate MOTed today failed on 2 Tyres and a rear shock anyway when I returned he mentioned the fact they had problems starting the old girl, (there is a bit of a knack to it)

But he told me the reason for this problem is to do with the Flywheel and some rubber jobbie ending up inside the starter and then it fails to start and it's a £900 job to put it right.

Does this ring true with any one. With regard to the starting itself it seems to start on about the third turn over in the morning even at the temps around at the moment, it's when its already warm it seems to be worse taking maybe around 10 turns of the motor.

    Should I be worried

If its difficult to start, idles roughly and a host of other symptoms then he is correct your DMF is shot and it is an expensive job. Along with the DMF going it commonly ruins your starter and while you have it all stripped it may be worthwhile changing the clutch aswell.
