How do people do it?

My dad 51, Full NCD, etc, got me and the misses on policy, with Multi-Car discounts applied (bear in mind we are now 28) and we just paid £900+ !! !!!!

The ins companies are getting wise to the "on dads insurance" thing because so many 17yr olds belting about in the WRX they had as a gift for passing their test and insured on daddies policy.

True say and agre, BUT me and the misses both have our OWN car's too! To add insult to injury, IF I took me and the misses OFF, it made the premium for dad alone £110+ more!

I pay £296.00 for all that on the 2005 1.9 Vectra ...

Last December A Quote asked me for £600.00+, I told them I'd take the business elsewhere and negotiated the premium down to £296.00.

Same this December, A Quote asked for £400.00, negotiated the premium down to £296.00 again.

Well i am also a 46 year old codger and pay £300 and that's fully comp for a v6 cdti ! So there are some advantages over being a young whiper snapper
