Just wondering if any-one knows,approx how long a bank transfer takes.Money was transfered to me yesterday.When should I expect to see it in my account.Thanks

I had a 10 day wait when I sold A KTM to a guy from Austria he ended up staying in a hotel for 3 days waiting for the money, in the end he had his wife fly over with cash it took that long, I refunded it to him when it finally cleared took another 10 days, but it left my account within the hour, HMMMMMM

Is it an international transfer? Most uk bank transfers are immediate now however does depend on method used and value

If both banks participate in BACS for transfers it should be instant.

A money transfer takes place in two stages ...

It's the AUTHORISATION that appears to be instant, but be warned this can be revoked later!

As above, the TRANSACTION which completes the transfer can take up to 10 working days.

How do you know when the TRANSACTION is complete, you must check with your bank.
