Default Solution to wiper blade/screenwash problem

I too have the problem of wiper blades not working properly in the frosty conditions, but have found a way of getting screenwash to work.

If in the morning you put on your wipers and they stick/no screenwash pump e.t.c.

Wait about 5 mins and instead of just pulling the stalk towards you for screenwash ( wont work )

Put the stalk up to fast wiper position and then pull towards you at the same time for screenwash and hey presto!!!!

    Works for me anyway

! I think you just were lucky with that. If they are frozen, then surely speed of the wipers wont make a difference? UNLESS this is another HIDDEN SECRET of the Vec-C?

They are not frozen, The screenwash i;m using is 100% concentrate to -20.

It is the problem with the wipers when cold, disables the washer pump.

I have done this several times and all I can say is that it works for me.

In the thread for 'wipers misbehaving' funkiedrums states this has worked for him also!!!!!

    Default

I tested this earlier and what it seems to do is increase the pressure of the water when the wipers are on high speed. I was sat still and I could see the difference of where the water was hitting on the screen.

But the down side is it would wreck your blades on the ice.
