Just wanted peoples opinions on the Osram Nightbreaker bulbs compared to normal halogen bulbs, or is there a better replacement option other than HID's? You're comments and opinions are more than welcome!!

Yes mate, i put them on my Vec & they improve the your vision.
Had nightbrackers on my car only lasted about 6 months before one blew and becouse they are alot whiter looking next to standard bulbs you have to buy more the same and at about £20 pair not cheap. I didn't think they made much of a differance so went for HID's never look back well worth the £60.
Thanks for your reply mitch..as I do alot of night driving it might be worth giving them a go!
Cheers Big Nath, thanks for your opinion, was just interested as to wether it was worth trying them or not...or if it was better to just go for hids, you're comments are all appreciated, thanks!!
Osram Nightbreakers aren't very good quality, sometimes one is dimmer than the other, sometimes their performance deteriorates quite quickly. If you want high performance halogen bulbs, get Philips Xtreme Power bulbs.
I fitted Osram Nightbreakers last week, utter rubbish, I would be better fitting 2 candles to my headlights, going for hids, dont waste your money on these rubbish bulbs.
Looks like mine are the only ones that have been reliable?? I have had them a good 18 months, never an issue with them, good beam of light. there is the HID's yes, but go look at all the threads of issues they've been.
I've gone from standard to NB's to Mtec Super Whites.
If you want to see at night go for the NB's cos, although the MTEC's are very white, you can't see effall at night.
Personally, I'd avoid them. People spend 30 quid a time trying out the different halogen bulbs but most in the end opt for HID's. They're only 60-70 quid now and will outperform any halogen bulb without difficulty.
If anything, they're a safety mod as the car's standard bulbs are dangerously bad IMO...
