Default Battery Lilght and no climate control

Got a problem on the electrical system this time....

Coming home the other night amongst all the snow and cold and the battery light on the dash came on. SWitched everything off just in case the alternator had let go and got home ok. Came to go to work this morning and it started ok but no climate control/heater/fan and no rear demist. After a couple of mins the battery light came on again...

    Any ideas?

same thing happened to me but not with the heater car runs fine then after about 5mins of driving battery light comes on, if you turn off car its fine for another 5 mins then i lost all power and electrics as the alternator gave up

check the voltage with a multimeter when the engine is runnign should read about 14 volts ish

if alternator is f***ed about 12 or even lower hope this helps

I had an alternator go as well. Don't try to drive to far with the light on as the electrics work all sorts, The power steering, abs etc. The radio was a good indicator prior to total shut down..
