    Default Done me proud

The Vec estate has done my proud in this recent snow.
Its slipped, skidded, growled, got a bit hot under the collar, gripped and fought on and got us all home safe and sound.
    Top car.

Exactly the same as, had a couple of close shaves and the old Abs working to max, I find the abs strange in these in that as you keep the pedal pressed it almost ends up to the floor, not had that in any other cars I've had at least not that I remember!

Spent £205 on winter tyres from mytres.co.uk and they turned up 3 and half weeks late now my car is stuck in our carpark and our village has got just over 4ft of snow almost everywhere. my car was buried the other morning took 3 hours to dig it out!

Difficult to believe that its the UK with that amount of snow.
A set of winter tyres would a sound investment.

If this is the weather pattern, then I will get a set.

was thinking just that myself today. My Saab is poor on the snow so I gave daughter a lift to the train station and nicked her Ford KA which is easy to slide about.

Have to agree with the OP, it was a mission but the Signum got us home safe yesterday eventually after nearly 4 hours! I was amazed how it still kept going on it's big fat low profiles.

Have to say though, the brakes were scary, nearly as scary as the idiots that would follow you up a hill right behind you! And the bloke that moved forward infront of the T junction that I had turned out of to try and climb a hill. Think he got the message when I skidded back down and narrowly missed him.

Some people say you dont need winter tyres you just need to drive as per the conditions but they are just dumb as winter tyres means getting to the local supermarket 36miles away from where i live and having summer tyres and not getting down and back up our main street in our village!

Winter tyres a must where I live if you have wide tyre like the vectra has!
