advice..!

Hi People, I am looking at buying a signum (2.2i petrol, Direct Exclusive, 29K miles, cost around £6K). Just wondered if anyone would give me any advice as to whether or not it is a good deal and what are the pro's and cons of the Signum etc? Looks a really nice car, and am keen to buy but thought I would seek some thoughts first.

Hi and i'm sure some one will give you the answers you need shortly,but iirc isnt the direct prone to a few problem's eg: fuel pump

you would be better looking for a 2.0T .............better tuning and more reliable

As already said mate, the 2.0T is a no brainer over the 2.2 direct. On the new insurance system (1-50) its only 2 points more for the 2.0 as well.

Only downside is there aren't many 2.0T's going around at the moment.

Only 4 on ebay, all up north too and only one of them a Facelift:
Sheffield
Bolton
Bradford
Cleveland

And on autotrader the only 2.0T with less than 60k miles is a duplicate of one of the ebay ones:
