    Default Ebay Rant

I had put my old phone on ebay last week and the auction ended on Sunday. The final bid was £160. I sent the invoice to the winner but haven't heard anything since.

I have emailed them everyday but haven't heard a sausage. I finally emailed them yesterday saying if i hadn't heard from them in 24hrs i would report them to ebay and leave negative feedback. 24hrs have passed and nothing.

What can i do now? I'm lost - i need this money to go towards my remap and exhaust.

    Many Thanks

Well.... For me, money made on ebay I leave in paypal because of the charges to transfer to your bank. I tend not to therefore rely on ebay sales to afford me anything.

I think what you need to do, is exactly what you threatened to do. Report them as none paying and then offer the phone to the 2nd highest bidder (if that bid was reasonable).

I had a non payer before Christmas and you have to follow a set routine that ebay set out. You have to log on and follow the system to the dispute centre. Follow the instructions and log the non payer. Ebay will contact them and you have to wait another week for them to reply!!!

It is a total pain in the anal orifice!!!

The link is fine as it's an internet page that anyone can access. The winner bidders name doesn't show up, just as Bidder 1.

I'd contact the second highest bidder and offer them the chance for it. You've given the winner enough opportunity to respond, but I would email them and say what you are doing if they don't respond within, say, 24 hours. At least they can't complain afterwards.

As more of a buyer than a seller I disagree... The only thing that annoys me now is the new search system that seems to throw whatever random items it likes into your results.

As for feedback however I now feel able to give bad feedback to sellers who deserve it, instead of feeling too afraid of receiving bad feedback in return.
Negative feedback hurts those with less feedback a lot more than it does the power sellers, and those with less feedback are usually buyers, not sellers.
To a seller, non-payment is an inconvenience. To a buyer, not receiving goods amounts to theft/fraud.

In all it can only be a good thing, it helps to stop sellers of substandard/counterfeit goods ripping people off on ebay.
