    Default New Insurance group ratings.

    Just read this on another forum. I wonder if this will increase any premiums?

    From looking at that thatcham website i think mines gone from group 10 to group 21 dont know what that means though!

    I know, but all other 2.2's in other cars like the astra and vec b are 27 LOL, think VXR is 35

    Gsi 00 - 02 now 16 new 33

    some cars will go up,some may come down,the groups are going from 20 to 50 groups

    It's just another excuse to raise premiums tbh.

    It's like years ago when the government said "small cars with less than 1100cc engines will pay less road tax", I drove a 1125cc Peugeot 106 at the time and couldn't get the lower tax because I (like most of the small car owners) was a few cc over the limit.

    Vectra insurance won't be cheap anyway because there are proportionally a much larger number on the roads and therefore proportionally more involved in accidents. It wouldn't surprise me if Vectra's were considered high risk vehicles.
