Default Driver's Door knob open circuit

Not particularly worried about this as the door locks and unlocks fine via the remote key fob on both keys.

However, when I recently did a diagnostic with Op-Com, I got a DTC saying that the drivers door knob was open circuit!!

I can clear all other DTC's without any problem, but this one fault persists.
Car is a Late March 2005 Vectra 1.9CDTi.

As I say everything works as it should.
It is currently set to taxi mode - doors all lock when I reach approx 10mph - which is how I programmed it per the manual

The only thing it doesn't do which all my other Vauxhalls did, is that the rest of the doors in my other cars used to lock when I dropped the front door pins, and unlock when I lifted the front door pins.

    This car doesn't.

    Any suggestions peeps!!
(Other than, "As it works, then don't worry about it"!)

    thanks, Rob.

Is it B2966 (dont remember) or something like that and do you have alarm?

If you have alarm you can ignore the fault code, the system works as designed

Same error as mine its because the drivers locking mechanisme has been changed to the "new" one that doens have that feature..

It comes if prefacelift has the doorlock changed.. and will probaly be the same on facelift.

(the doorlock is changed if you have had that warning about the door not beeing closed at sometime or previus owner has had it)

    Thanks for the replies.

I think it is the original door lock...
The car was new on Mar 31st 2005, and we bought it Oct 31st 2005.
It all appeared original with no signs of repairs etc.
Came from Arnold Clark Liverpool (Honda Dealer) and so there were no receipts etc on such a new car...7 months old at time of purchase.

Don't remember the code that came up with the diagnostic tool...will look again in the next few days and report back. (Weekend)

The car is fitted with the factory alarm which works fine, albeit very quiet.
There are no EML lights or messages on the instrumrent or display panels.

without Op-Com, I wouldn't be aware that the fault existed.

As I said in the first post, I'm not particularly worried about it, as everything works okay.
I'm just inquisitive because I now know it's there.
