    Angry vxr front splitter

any one know how much for a genuine VXR front splitter painted & fitted?

Was following a lorry on M3 today in slow lane as I was about to leave at next junction, when what looked like a wheel wrench fell off the lorry and smashed the front splitter of my car.

Was lucky really as it was heading for my screen, and it dropped lower at the last second. Had the whole family on board at the time too. Smashed splitter better than a smashed head.

Bloomin lorry driver didn't even bother to stop, despite my flashing and horn! Got his number & have been in touch with hampshire police, so hopefully they will track him down.

Lower section is about 150 quid I think for the part, but speak to danboy at LMF - he'll be able to sort you out

Speak to you insurance mate if you got the number they can claim for the damage caused by the lorry, worked for me when a piece came off a cavalier and smashed my grill and damaged my bumper on the M3 near fleet services.

I hope so, but I think it depends if it can be proven as having fallen off the lorry, rather than debris on the road (which is no doubt what the driver will claim).

I'll wait to see how the police get on, but I aint holding my breath.
