    Default Banging/ Rattling parcel shelf

    my 2006 vectra elite has a rattling parcel shelf, it has had it since i bought it a month or two ago. it is SOO annoying. stinks of cheap finidhing.

    Is there any way of fixing this bumping noise.

    I knew i should of got an older c class, 5 series or VW!!

    this is my first venture with Vauxhall and i have to say, it isnt all bad. but this shelf, it sounds like a damn ford!

    Check that both the little plastic wedges are attached still, one of mine was lost and it rattled, About 60p from the dealer.

    no not really, i just hear it bugging me!! how can i find out? i am sure the boot is closed properly and doesnt "jump" so to speak.

    I used to keep an umbrella and scarf on top of the parcel shelf in my Vectra, stopped the rattling and was practical

    Best way then is to take shelf out,go for a drive,if no rattle its the shelf,if it still rattles its the hatch.Put a pad on each plastic hatch adjuster or on the bodywork it rests on and that should sort it
    P
