with regards getting extra power. Your first port of call should be getting a K and N panel filter and doing the airbox mod. Next i'd get a full stainless exhaust system some one like MIJ in Walsall can do you a neat system for about 360 quid. After that you should go with a remap. Costing anywhere between 300 upto about t500 for BSR stage 1. With a map exhaust and filter you'd be looking somewhere between 210 and 230 bhp. HTH

www.TorquingBHP.co.uk will give you an extra 45 BHP for £300 + VAT. You don't need a dump valve by the way, the 2.0T already has a bypass valve.

One of the best exhaust systems you can get for the 2.0T is the Vectra VXR system, this is made by Remus and is good for up to 310bhp.

You will need the front pipe adapting to fit you down pipe but any decent exhaust place should be able to do this.

Along with the airbox mod as described on here this should set you up for a stage 2 re-map. BSR is a good option, however, consider Courtenay as they can tailor the map to suit your modifications.

Courtenay's re-map will also be done whilst on the rolling road which is the best way of mapping a car.

I have been told by Angel tuning that my 53 reg 2.0t Sri 100 edition can not be re-mapped. Is this right? What other alternative do I have as I dont want one of these piggy back chips that are not tailored to the car.

Im suprised they said no. They are a big company and are used by manufacturers.
Bsr is a bit out of my price range.

That is utter rubbish. AT probably say that because they do not have access to/details of the mapping for the Z20NET engine in the Vectra 2.0T. BSR (and others) do and have a 100% record on successfully tuning 2.0T's which, like yours presumably, still have the original ECU mapping.

Maverick has in-depth knowledge of what BSR and other tuners can do for the Z20NET. I can only speak for BSR whose stage 1 remap I had on my old Edition 100, and it was absolutely spot-on.
