Default BSR Remap, what if you add induction and exhaust?

Not that clued up on ecu`s so please forgive me if this is a stupid question but its something that has been toying with my mind!!

I want to get the BSR stage 1 upgrade and I know the BSR remap will auto tune your car once plugged in, but lets say you have an induction kit and an exhaust fitted. how would that effect things? Would the ecu just stay with the bsr settings or would it alter these settings as more air would be coming in etc??? Can someone please explain!!!!

The best thing to do is to modify your exhaust and filter etc before having a re-map, this allows the re-map to be tailored to suit the specific engine and it's operating conditions.

The BSR re-map is generic so it won't really make that much difference wheather you modify before or after, the ECU would make adjustments to suit any mods such as exhaust or filter.

You could get more performance by having a specific map written for the car after mods were carried out but the BSR is a good option as it can be re-moved and re-installed at will.

Duncan is possibly your best contact as he has the BSR re-map and is very happy with his car.

I like the idea of the BSR as you can uninstall the software as and when just wondered if the ecu would adapt with the bsr installed. Do you reckon it would squeeze any extra horses out?

Exhaust and filter should see an extra 5-15bhp depending on make/manufacturer of the parts you choose to fit, a K&N panel filter is a good investment and will help. Hi flow sports cat and exhaust will give very good results, quite a few exhaust mods have been carried out by members on here, just a case of browsing and reading them to help you make your mind up

BSR says a exhaust will give you a few more hp ...
In general a sport exhaust gives a better turbo spool up.

I`ve also heard that the BSR remap will drop the 0-60. Anybody know what kinda 0-60 this will have after remap?

ok mph, not kmh. here, in Finland they say that Opel Vectra 2.0T
    goes 0-100 in 9.1s

    http://www.opel.fi/action/go?page=ve...SiteId=GBPFI#1

    magazine:
    http://www.tuulilasi.fi/uudetautot/?...&car=029006198
    says 0-100 9.1s

    strange that Vx says different
