    Default Still not fixed

Picked the car up yesterday, said it still didn't feel right when I spoke to Vauxhall, Tonight coming home from work, it drops into limp home mode three times.

Left a snotty message on Vauxhall Executive helpline's Answer phone and gave the dealer a piece of my mind.

    What's next? Solicitors? Press? Remit?

I can't put up with much more of this....

Very poor service that you seem to be getting Andrew, have you tried a different dealer/workshop?

    Hope you get it sorted

I'm on my second dealer, umpteen times to Vx Customer Services.

As a basic guide to my feelings at the moment, this is more or less the message I left on the Answer Phone.

Message for ( name ), it's Mr. Morgan, we've spoken at length already this week and as you know several times previously. You said if there were any problems to ring you. Well I am currently on the M4, the car has now dropped into limp home mode for the third time.

I am seriously losing patience with you, Vauxhall and the general incompetence of the dealer network in general. I expect a phone call on the following no' ( no given ) by 10.30 tomorrow morning with your final solution to this episode. What I say next may be seen as a touch abrasive, tough, I WANT MY FERKIN CAR FIXED. PROPERLY. I look forward to your call tomorrow.

My Brother in Law is incandescant with rage over this. His advice is get them to take the car back in and get the courtesy car off them. Then don't release their car until they agree to properly fix it, extend the warranty, or failing that buy the thing back from you.

This may have to be my next course of action.

Sorry to hear bout that mate, havnt had much luck with your car have you.

If i were you id just go back to the dealers and kick off big style and shout at them (they dont like that when other customers are around) and mention legal action and trading standards ect.

If that dont work then i guess your bro in laws idea about selling them the car back might be your only option.

But if they do fix it for you, and your happy with it, make sure you get some compensation. I remember someone on here recently got £500 worth of Irmscher extras as compo!

This is Taking the pi55 a little mate , i think your best way ahead in the short term is to get a courtesy car from them(like for like)to at least get you safe on the road.

After this contact Trading standards(if you havent already), they will give you good advice and even draft you letters for getting stuck into the dealers. They told me it makes a big difference as to how you have financed your car, if its HP then you are in a stronger position as the HP company will help fight your case too.

It IS a long and frustrating road to get Vx to shift their @rse and do something to fix the motor, if your not happy with what they are doing build a case of phonecalls, dates of contact etc and write to VX and get your case notes, then put it ALL in the hands of a Lawyer and they will soon get their finger out

This is how i basically got them working overtime to get my car fixed, never quite got to handing over all my notes to a lawyer but they were scared into doing something quickly when i rhymed off all the correspondance/phonecalls/visits to dealers etc etc i had done in the 4 months of waiting to get it to be fixed, My car was fixed within 1 week of this

Hope you get it sorted fella by hook or by crook

Phoned for an update today, was told they're trying to effect a workshop update, trying to sort out boost pressure or something?

Sounds again like they're just bodging it. Still, until the car is fixed exactly to my satisfaction, and they agree to extend the warranty, they are not having the hire car back. Simple as.

I'd get the press involved here asap, wrap the Daily Mirror around the exhaust manifold and drive down the road, in a short while the car will never need to go to a Vx dealer ever again.

p.s I was only joking btw.
