Eyelids! Yay or Nay?

Hello!

I have just bought some eyelids for my veccy from the bay, but they came shiny black. After a good sand down, trip to halfrauds and a quick spray it was ultra blue! Unfortunatly when i came to fit them, they were not the same colour as the car lol So not put off by this i sprayed them matt black which i think i like.

What do you reckon? I havent put them on yet i just lay them on the headlights, thats why they look like they dont line up lol

I tried mate i got the right paint from halfrauds but no matter how many coats i couldnt get it the same I might slip them in to get painted at the body shop with the splitter

Your car looks the same colour as mine Ultra blue if so there's about 7 different shades mine is more metal flakey best bet would be paint shop and get them to check paint with paint cards to get the right shade

what primer did ya use? white or grey?

i sprayed my front spoiler my self same colour as yours paint code 4cu i think perfect match paint from halfords as well.

I used grey primer, and if i remember correctly the paint code on my door is 21b or 21d cant remember lol and its too cold to go check But ill try 4cu next time i pass halfrauds Cheers mate

ive used the halfrauds paint a few times and its been ok but when i used it on my spoiler it was a different shade completely, my eyebrows are a different shade as well so will have to get them repainted ,only way to get a perfect match is with a paint swatch card
