    Default Calling all guru's

I have a problem I cant seem to sort out and its now got to the point where I am thinking of getting shot of the car...

I have a god awfull noise coming from the rear suspension, been going on for months now and have have changed the rear upper control arms and the rear ARB bushes but now think it is a dry bush on the lower control arm. The car has done ( as of this morning 15,700 miles )...

The noise can only be described as a combination of a squeaky bed spring with a metally squeek in there too, it happens over ever bump, uneven piece of road, pot hole or basically wheneve the car is flexing...

Has anyone else had this problem and if so how did they sort it...

Any help much appreciated or there is going to be another vectra for sale soon...

    Thanks in advance...

I had a creaking from the back of mine, turned out to be lower arms. I wouldn't expect them to have gone on a 15,000 mile car yet though. Mine had done 93,000 when they were changed!!

Have you checked the shocks? I had a leaky one on one side which also caused a similar noise.

Hav'nt checked the shocks but I have no leaks and the noise seems to be from underneath and not the sides.

cant remember 'if' the rear springs have the 'mod' or not...its essentially a rubber sock which fits over the last 3 or 4 inches of the spring (lower end)....
