Default Stuttering engine when engine is cold

I hope someone can point me in the right direction with a problem i'm having!

When I start my 2003 1.8 sri from cold it seems to idle ok, but as soon as I set off, the engine bogs down, is very lumpy and stuttery. This only lasts a minute or so and then it's fine. It doesn't seem to matter what the outside temperature is, it only does it when the car is stone cold.

    Help Guys!

any engine management lights coming on
sound like possibly a problem with the temp sender for the ecu almost sounds like a car with manual choke trying to drive it away with no choke

    No lights at all.

You are spot on with it sounding like an old manual choke car that needs a good dose of choke.
