    Default Signum Numberplate Bulb

I just went out to my new Signum to try and change the number plate bulb for some spare MTEC 501s I had, and noticed the fitting is different and inside the bulb looks different.

I recognise these as "festoon" bulbs but there seems to be so many different sizings and names. I've tried a forum search and that also brings up different numbered ones.

Does anyone have a definitive answer on what these bulbs are?

    C5W? 44mm? 42mm? 39mm?

    try this...

but looks like 501's?? you could just measure the ones in... rear grab handles in my astra where these type. i bought wrong ones but you can make them fit by opening or closing the metal holders...

Just went out and checked, it definitly isn't a 501 bulb, it's long with two metal bits on each end.

best bet would be to get the tape measure out... if your measurements are out by few mil i garauntee this will not make a difference and they will fit...

Don't know if the vecs the same, but noticed both my number plate bulbs had blown while sat in Costco car park waiting for it to open, so I just replaced them with the bulbs from the courtesy light to keep legal till I got home.

I've bought a set of these, can't really go wrong for that price.
If they don't fit, oh well at least I'll know if I need bigger or smaller.

When I find out the correct bulbs I think I'll make a post listing all the bulbs fitting pre and post facelift vecs and sigs, as it really shouldn't be this hard to find the correct ones
