If this poxy goverment were serious about support for chufffin victims, they would hand out the proper sentances for rape and murder etc in the first place which goes a long long way towards moneytary compensation in my view anyway, whats gets my goat is the motorist allways seems to get the short straw.
In my view the £15 victim compo should come out of the £60 fine anyway, what are they doing with the money anyway...How anyone can agree to this i'll never know, and maybe the Scotish peeps amongst us should refrain from posting here,as this law will not apply to yourselves.

It's hardly a law, its a policy change
Here in Scotland all of the fine from a court goes to where it is intended (hence why it is called a fine compensation order)
However the court can include court costs within the fine

haha, don't want to get too political here (not a expert politician anyway), but in a nutshell I'm in favour of giving the opposition a chance. Pointless saying who I'm voting for as that's a personal choice for us all, but I'm hearing some decent ideas from the opposition which I'd like to see implemented.
IMO, this government just needs to go. Enough is enough - things can't get any worse than the mess the UK is in already.
Just the way I see it right now, your mileage may vary.

edit: This extra £15 on the fines doesn't really bother me to be honest though. I can think of a lot of bright "labour ideas" which are much worse. Not sure why I posted my anti-labour rants here :-)

Why not? Make it £1000 and then mis spend it like everything else they do!

As for politics who ever gets in we will pay loads of tax lets face it you get taxed on what you earn then what you save then what you spend hmmmm its a no win situation

The answer to not paying the extra levy is really quite simple. Do not break the law and you will not be fined.
    3.2 v6 Signum and loving it 😁

i don't know why the fines are not a lot more anyway. You do the crime, you do the time.

I think it's a good idea as long as the funds go where they're meant to. £15 isn't really much anyway, should double it that'll teach people to drive without their seatbelts on or talking on mobile phones.

You'd have to be a bit of a numpty to get caught speeding on an empty motorway

Either you missed seeing the camera on a gantry, you're trying to speed up between average speed cameras, you didn't notice the white V70 behind you, or you weren't looking far enough ahead.
