    Default Replacement Airbag Pre-Facelift

More often than not my airbag light pops on when I press the horn. (the harder I press it the more likely it is to come on). The light will sometimes disappear almost straight away, or after the ignition has been switched on and off. I was looking just to replace the airbag as the horn sensor is built-in? But only if it was cheap enough!

Found the above, actually quite fancy the Holden one and cheap enough.

Is an '03 two wire and is the horn wired separately or all part of the airbag itself?

Its all one unit although you could try checking the wires are right in at the back of it

Yeah, I just thought if I had to pull it out and I could get one cheap enough I'd replace it. I can always sell it on if it's not faulty.

They are a two wire on pre-facelift though? I never believe what someone on eBay writes .....

What do you think of the Holden badged airbag though?

Yeah they are two wire on the pre-face mate. Price is pretty cheap for an air bag though.

I like the holden one but i'd really be interested in a blank one (to fit a new style griffin in.

Have you taken the airbag off of the steering wheel and checked the connectors on the back of airbag, these may have just come lose!

I think actually my woes are CIM related, got other acts of randomness going on. I've once had the Steering wheel with exclamation mark pop up. Whenever I read the codes there are always some relating to the CIM.

I might look at swapping it next month.

I would get it checked via tech2 or someone with legitimate vaux/op-com and chek the CIM for fault codes
