Default Hi, 1.9 CDTi, which engine?

    Hi all,

I currently own a clio 172, and I am sick of the 'frenchness' and want something comfy, reliable, and cheap(ish) to run. Hoping to buy a 1.9 CDTi Vectra soon, will be around the £5K mark, probably 80,000 + mileage.

Have heard some horror stories about the 150, are the 120 engines generally better and more reliable? Or is it just a bunch of bull as I know these rumours often are . . .

    Thanks all,
    Craig,

All engines , in all makes have niggles here and there.

I have a CDTi 150, which has thrown a few electronic niggles, but these are usualy cleared with my Op-Com diagnostic unit.

Personally, the 150 is a great engine...

Its certainly got enough pull. Economy wise, I cannot fault it.
    No problems at all !

Check out the warranty companies for peace of mind if you get a 150!
