    Default GSi Badges

Hey, i went out to get in my car earlier today to find some kind person has removed my drivers side GSi badges via a knife or a key... They have also taken my 3.2 v6 badges

Does anyone have any idea on the price of these badges and where i can get them from? because at the moment the car looks awful for it... Not only is it missing these badges but it also still has the awful outlines on the chrome strip on the back so i need to cover it back up. They also was kind enough to leave me some very deap scratchs around the area the gsi badge once was

Any idea on how to blend these scratches in? as dont really want the expense of having to do the entire panel at this time of year.

Im tempted not to put the badges back on as id rather not have them taken again at some point (i dont know if im being targeted or if its random) but i dont know if i can somehow get rid of the outline of the badges? especially on the chrome strip

    Hey Chuddy,

Sorry to hear this, you can get rid of the outlines with some polishing ( I did this when I de-badged mine).

As for the scratches, it depends on how deep they are. Are they down to the metal or primer or are they just in the paint?

You could try some rubbing compound and then a polish!!

Hope this helps and you get sorted

    Hey

The scratchs are deep, deep enough to be pure white on a black car

What type of polish would i use for the chrome stripe? I didnt want to remove the 3.2 or gsi badges to be honest but i dont want this to happen again

To be honest I think I used meguiars polish for the chrome strip and a bit of elbow grease and a soft cloth.

If the scratches are white they are down to the primer and will need a re-spray to fix properly (sorry). You could try a touch up stick from Halfrauds which might do the job for a short term fix.

Cant believe how pathetic some people are. Im guessin whoever has done it will be putting it on their car though and will hopefully stick out liek a sore thumb... and the town i live in aint exactly the biggest in the world.

lol. Shouldnt be too hard to see a nova/corsa with 3.2 badges lol.

Even if its some guy with a vectra i will know they are mine due to how old and tatted the 3.2 v6 badges were, unless they paint em i guess, the gsi ones where like new though

Found GSi badges on ebay at a reasonable price but cant find the same 3.2 v6 ones anywhere, all diff styles. Suppose i may have to call vx dealer

If this is anything to go by, a new (from VX) "3.2 V6" badge for the rear cost me £12 .
