....and it passed with flying colours!
When I went to collect it, the service guy alarmed me a bit when he said that the suspension mounts/sub frame had grounding out damage which they saw when it was on the ramp for the MOT. "Err, WTF!!! " I thought. He said he'd pop it on the ramp and show me.
Looked like something had scraped under the car as it had scrapes/scuffs/gouges on both front and rear parts. His suggested cause was probably a speed bump, or similar, as it was pretty even on both sides. Bl**dy things, I hate them!! Fortunately there's no problem or potential issues - they just wanted to make me aware of it.
Next time it's in for anything he said they'll just give the scraped bits a whizz of wax underseal just to tidy it all up.
Also had the front ant-roll bar link rods and joint replaced. I'd complained of the steering not feeling as tight as it should (car basically felt like it was under steering) and felt 'rough' on bumpier roads. After a conversation with Mark (GSi3.2 - cheers m8) he suggested those exact parts as the likely suspects. Sure enough, they found some play in them and replaced them. Car now feels much better.
Also got my boost pressure sensor replaced as per this thread and also a new update of the ECU software. Should hopefully be the end of my 'losing the turbo' problem.
So, warranty runs out in two days time! Probably going to go for the Network Q extension. Not cheap, but will give me complete piece of mind for the next year of ownership until I change.
Car running sweetly, looking sweet and handling sweet!
