    Default i phone

    hi
    bought an cheap i phone cradle thingy of ebay that tunes into an fm frquency.qaulity is sh*te.
    any ideas if i can pull out the cd30 and possibly wire into something behind unit or if anybody has any other ideas i would greatly appreciate their advice.just wnat good qaulity and reliability with ease of use for wife.

    Hi, quick answer. It is not easy.

    Best search the forum for CD30 and Ipod and/or Aux input.

    The link above from Lee requires moding the radio and then playing a blank CD.
    Not tried it, but it is one way around the common problem of no Aux input.

    I also have a CDR2005, and I am about to try one of these.

    Basically you plug this unit into the aerial socket, then plug the aerial into this unit.
    You also need to supply power to this unit.
    In use this unit should (not tried it yet) switch off the incoming FM signals from the aerial when a signal is applied from your ipod/mp3 player.
    You then tune one FM preset into the output frequency of the unit and hear your ipod/MP3 player through the speakers.

    This thead also asked this question about the CDR2005 (not the CD30) and has lots of replies and should give you some ideas about how difficult this can be.

    Did you buy one of these and did it work as i am considering it i used a belkin one and it was wireless so didnt work very well the prob i see with this is the connection for the aeriel
