    Default broken spring question

    hi just after some advice i think one of my front springs have broke the other day my front left spring my a huge twang since then it seems alittle different at the front end since i was just wonderin if anyone could help with my problem thanks

    I would recomend it to be changed. If it broke again it might compromise the cars safety. It could even wear the tyres unevenly.

    thanks for that never had one break one me before ive ordered some 45mm springs was thinkin of fittin them myself as ive done them before in the past was just wonderin how much a garage would charge to fit them

    Defiantely get both fronts changed mate.

    It's quite a dangerous risk, as in some instances, when the spring snaps, it causes the front end to drop, and perforate the tyre. Needless to say you wouldnt want this to happen when doing 70mph on the M-Way.

    On my old Vectra my spring went, and the front end was under steering very badly. I crawled back home on the M-Way doing 50mph, before being able to get it to the Garage.
