    Question vinyl wrap

    hello again are there any people on here who have tried vinyl wrappin in any way. im just about to buy plain matte black vinyl and want to try a diy job as im pretty good when it comes to detail, however this is the first time i will be vinyl wrapping, i know the procedure but have just never done it, is it really that hard to do, need to know asap as im buying it tomorrow. many thankyous, gazza

    depends on what your wrapping and the amount of curvature involved - then you ned to get a vinyl suitable for the purpose intended - buy more than you need - if you get it from the states it much cheaper unless you know someone who works in the trade and can give you cut offs or end of rolls to try with first......

    ive exterior vinyled my fog light covers and chrome window strips there fairly straight and "easy" and it still took a couple of hours to do and i may still do them again

    ive found a place which do 5m x 48" for £26.99 and that is made for vehicle wrapping

    I've watched it being done. The guys made it look so easy pretty sure it's not, but I'd love to have a go too.

    Make sure the surface is perfect first, anything on the surface will show through. Use a tack rag to wipe over the surfaces first.

    It's also fitted dry, they did use water. They used a hot air gun to put some heat into it for the more curved areas, and simply pulled it and stretched it squeesing out the air bubbles as they went

    Where did you see the sheets for buying?

    The website is mdpsupplies.co.uk and I need to correct myself it's actually 13.95 for a 48"x5m roll
