    Default reset service indicator

    can the service indicator by reset without access to equiment 05 plate vec 2.0 turbo. If so how 2 pls

    with ignition off hold in the trip reset on dash and turn on the ignition hold till you see it reset them off and on again with the ignition

    - With the ignition switched off, press and hold in the odometer button;
    - Whilst holding in the odometer button, press and hold the brake pedal;
    - Now, continuing to hold the button and the pedal, switch on the ignition;
    - Hold down the button and pedal until the "INSP" light stops flashing and turns to 3 dashes "---"; and
    - Switch off the ignition

    Should do. I would have thought. But if you have it service by VX I would leave it to them. Me I do my own, so I switch it off myself when I service my motor.

    On some models you need to press the footbrake too.

    holding down trip button, and brake pedal then switching on the ignition cleared the service indicator on my 56 plate 2.2i direct petrol

    Never needed to touch the brake pedal on either of mine. Hold in the trip meter button for 20 odd seconds, the display changes and service light gone.
