confused Spanner light ( map sensor maybe ? )

Spanner light comes on now and again and the car wont rev properly, Turn the ignition off and back on and it usually clears but this morning it did'nt? I've had computer on it and it has no fault codes. I had a mechanic friend to have a look and he reckons it is prob the map sensor? There is also a lot of pressure in the intercooler pipes as they swell up a lot when you rev the car. Any help would be most welcome. Oh the car is a 2003 2.2 sri dti

Is it just the pipe that goes to the intercooler or all of them?

They are the boost pipes they are meant to swell a bit. Have you checked those pipes for cracks/splits?

I wouldn't mate as they are about 150 quid as you need to buy the full set up from them. The pipes are pretty soft anyway tbh

If you really want to replace them you can get performance silicone ones from ebay for about 50 quid each and they will be much better quality
