    Default Help Please

Just been told I have to go to Paris tomorrow for a site survey. Have never been before.

I am landing at Chalres de Gaulle and need to get to Rue Francois 1er

I am told it is about 45mins by taxi, how much would this cost, so I know how much in Euros to get.

Would I be better getting the train into Paris and a taxi from there, if so which station in Paris should I be aiming for.

Oh my GCSE French is going to get a testing tomorrow

    Cheers

We went to Euro disney a couple of weeks ago. CDG to the hotel was 80 Euros and took 45 minutes on the motorway.

I go through Paris quite a bit en route to Brest. I am assuming you are going in to CDG terminal 2F. There is a main line station about 10 minutes walk from 2F between 2F and 2D that you can use to get the RER (Paris Underground) into the centre of Paris for around 10 euros. From there you can get any metro train or a taxi if your brave.

Air france also have a Coach ferry service from CDG into various points in the city centre for about 8 Euros. (Orly to CDG was 16 Euros two weeks ago)

Not done any of this myself but it looks easy enough.

The airport is a little daunting as its the biggest in Europe. The website is a difficult but helpful but if you go to the Air France information desks they are normally spot on. I normally go to the desks and start the conversation in French and they finnish it in english. lol

The signage is good once you learn to think like the French.

    I don't normally use 2B so I'm working from the web a bit. (i'm used to 2D, 2F and Terminal 3.

By Air France Bus( AKA Roissybus)

From Terminal 2B make your way to 2D(you may need to take a shuttle bus). Find Exit 11. The bus stop is near this exit. You will probably have to buy your ticket (E8.60) just inside the building. Busses normally run every 20 minutes or so.

    By RER

First get a shuttle bus to the station next to 2F by Taking the Aéroports de Paris shuttle (line 3) at exit 6 of terminal 2B. You then need to get RER B

The RER lines are given letters like our london underground has Piccadilly line etc.

Best thing to do is find an Air France desk and ask.

PS allow ALOT of time to check in. My last return trip took 2 1/2 Hours to Check in, get through Security and get to the gate. Never made it to the business lounge! So much for 30 minute check in!

Bonne chance mon amie! et bon voyage.
