    Default stereo fuse

    where is the strereo fuse and what amp is it? ive just fitted my double din but ive had to cut some wires red to yellow and yello to red, the red wire touched some metel and now stereo wont work, but wicvh fuse is it?

    Isn't there a fuse in the back of most of the headunits ?
    Might help to know which stereo you have .... someone's bound to be an expert on such things in here.

    if i remember right i had prob with blown fuse when put my head unit in and it turned out to be a fuse at end of dash passanger side.

    open passanger door and were dash meets door there is a flap u pull with fuses it was in there think it may have been 10 or 15amp think

    yea i found it, its number 1 20amp, there tiny fuses tho so i guess it a vx job? i think ive broken some of flap when i removed it

    Aren't they standard blade type fuses ? Dirt cheap even from Halfrauds. The cover, someone quoted the part numbers on a different thread a day or so ago.

    there is sometimes spare ones behind the flap if not should get them from halfords or any car parts supplier. but for all the price will be could go to dealer.

    yeh i dont think think clips on the flap would be hard to brake but i was lucky enough not to do so. if worst has happened prob get from brakers yard or suck it and get from dealers

    no mate i have hundreds of them, i poped the cover off and they are tiny fuses. i was gutted now i have to wait till tomorrow ill check to see if i have spares first tho

    yeh that little fuses are a pain in the butt. im sure u will manage to wait till morn lol
