    just wondering where people got their rewind tool and adaptor that fits properly.

    The one I have is made by Sealey. It's a multi kit, so does any car.
    Not cheap though, but have a search on ebay.

    I'm assuming here you're referring to the brake caliper piston ...

    When I did the rears on my 1.9CDTi 120 I tried using a 'G' clamp but it wouldn't open wide enough. Haynes shows the piston being turned clockwise using a pair of long nose pliers, that wouldn't work for me.

    I eventually resorted to giving the piston a sharp tap using my ever faithful ball pein hammer and a timber drift and then I managed to get the clockwise turn working with the long nose pliers.

    Firm but fair

    I used a G clamp and used this method on Audi as well.

    Halfords for the tool and ebay for the VX adaptor.
    Good investment IMO.
    I have subsequently used the tool on other cars so its earned its place in the toolbox.

    used long nose pliers but caliper is now sticking. probably rust is stopping it going back will clean it soon.

    I bought one of ebay with a 1/4" drive and it fits and works perfectly...

    Make sure that the little round adaptor that goes against the piston has pins of 21mm pitch.

    i bought mine from halfords,i used it on my astra with no problem,fitted perfectly,it has a reversable plate for different sizes
