    Default vectra c 2 dti wont start

    i own a 2.0 dti an carn figure why it wont start ive changed the plugs seals an it just keeps crankin i toook fuel hose of filter an tryed crankin but didnt seem to pull eny fuel thru now nam stuck as wot to do with out towin it to vauxhall eny help wud be gud thanks

    have you checked fuses etc could be the fuel pump has packed in

    dont you have to manually prime these

    Thought only way was to crack each injector until diesel leaks out while some one turn's engine over

    the pump has to be primed i think before fuel will even reach the injectors

    Use the search function at the top of the page to search for 'DTI', 'prime', 'bleed' and so on. There's loads on here about how to do it.

    I would say caution is the name of the game - lots of turning over could damage the fuel pump (they are prone to damage when run dry) and they are very expensive to replace.

    What happened when it started failing to start? Had some work been done on it, or had the fuel tank been allowed to run dry?
