    Default Heated washers (not jets)

Anyone done a retro fit? Would be nice to get the actual screen wash heated instead of just the jets so was wondering if anyone has a solution to this or has any experience of it?

My initial thoughts were to get some extra tubing and coil it round a radiator hose, something that will get hot but won't melt the tube but my main concern is losing pressure in the system with longer tubes? And the down side is it would only be effective after the car has warmed up.

Another thought was to have a 'kettle' element installed into the screen wash bottle but I would assume wiring and temperature control of this would not be easy, and by the time the warm fluid gets to the windscreen it would have cooled off!!

    Thoughts?

I many years ago on a previous motor, I got some tubing and wrapped it around a radiator hose. It worked atreat. The only downside was there was a drop in pressure. But when the engine was hot the water was too.

Massive drop in pressure or minimal? And did this solve the frozen skoosh problem?
