Can anyone tell me how to remove the plastic boot sill from a hatchback? I cannot see any obvious screws, so I dont want to pull it up only to snap it. Thanks in advance.

Can anyone tell me how to remove the plastic boot sill from a hatchback? I cannot see any obvious screws, so I dont want to pull it up only to snap it. Thanks in advance.
Its held on with some really tight push in metal clips on the back...i would recommend working from the top (near the boot catch) levering the trim up-wards with a blunt flat tool ( like a wide scraper or screwdriver) and then release the rest by gentle pullling and persuasion!Originally Posted by motorchoke1
Ok thanks, Sri_Andy. I want to remove the sill to see exactly where the water is entering the tyre well. I can see water is coming behind the plastic sill, so removing it should show me the entry of the water. I have ruled out the leak from the roof gutter, by reading other threads relating to boot leaks.
i've noticed today that water is entering my boot aswell mate. it looks like it could be coming in from the areial base and down towards the rear lights but not sure
