    Default How to change gear lever

    Hi guys any one changed gear lever in vec? looking yo do this monday- any one any suggestions?

    What bits exactly are you changing mate? If it's the whole thing including the black plastic base it's a piece of cake. 4 torx scres hold the base down, and one ball joint right at the bottom connecting one of the selector rods. the other rod is pushed on to the base itself, which you'll see when you take it off.

    Ten minutes, tops...

    yes cheers Penfold -whole lot with base! does the console need to come out? by the way thanks for your help

    Nah, one T20 torx screwdriver and you're sorted. The only tricky bit is pushing the ball joint back together - you'll need a bit of ingeuity to wedge it against somethign to push it back in. I also had issues with the gaitor as mine was off an Astra, but if yours is from a vectra it shouldn't be an issue...

    thanks for the help............P.S..looks good, mines just a vectra one but chrome instead of the crappy silver paint that scrapes off with ****** ring on
