Has anyone fitted Koni FSD shock absorbers or had experience of them?
Has anyone fitted Koni FSD shock absorbers or had experience of them?
I've been very interested in getting these.
I bought the Bilstein B4 shocks and Eibach springs, they are great, but too rough on bumpy roads and speed bumps.
I was looking at the Koni FSD shocks on LMFVauxhall to try and get the sportiness of the Bilsteins but with the added comfort.
I'd be interested to see if anyone got them, and what they think too
My thinking exactly - much as I like a sports suspension setup I don't want it all the time, particularly with the state of the roads & speed humps etc & the Koni FSD seems to offer the best of both worlds, but given the price I'd like some unbiased input first.
for that price, i'd guess no-one
Iv'e just fitted Bilstein B4 shocks and Eibach springs on my SRi and I actually think it's a softer ride than the originals, admitedly the car corners better but definately a less bumpy ride.
I remember being concerned at first fitting B4's as the originals were a lot stiffer to push in as well as having a shorter stroke but no problems to report.
I have heard mixed reports on them, its an expensive gamble, I would presonally stick with tried and tested set up's
i have had them on my car for a yr now and a good improvement on the elite set up also fitted eibach springs as well .
yes they are good , but sometimes not hard enough for my liking on the rr . for me when empty can bounce a bit . great when boot or someone in the back .. have been tempted to go for coil overs or B12`s next
I'll probably go for Bilsteins then but what are my options for std length springs, I already gound at the front when going into the drive so I can't go for anything shorter
I have them. Very expansive mod but with them fitted, my car is much better (2.2 DTI).
