    Default Engine Replacment on 2.0DTI

    I have a 2.0 DTI New shape Vectra on 02 plate.
    Millage is getting very high and starting to get problem after problem Fuel pump is on its way out and starting to give problems and one of my fuel injectors isent spitting right.

    Im considering Complete Engine change but before i go ahead I wanted some heads up to problems i might face,

    also is there anything else that would fit withought to much hastle or am i going to be stuck with an old 2.0DTI?

    its done about 110'000
    i love the car want to keep it
    but at the same time wouldent mind a petrol engine in it,

    Engine should only just be run in at that mileage, but sounds like it's only ever done short trips to the shops and back - my 07 plate is on 87K...

    Forget changing the engine to a petrol - new car is the only way forward with that idea, and all the 2.0 DTi engines are going to be old anyway unless you buy a brand new one so you're better off all round just changing the car...

    My 07 plate estate is on 130K has done short trips to the shops and back and one odd on sunday to the church ....

    i think would have been cheaper to fix it its hell of a job to swap the engine

    Mine's done 150k and its just run it lol these engines take a lot of stick and can easily run well over 200k as long as you look after it

    i stick with oli/filter change every 10k instead of 20k. that's my goal 200 k and then i think i give v6 cdti a go

    How on earth do you get 60K a year just going to the shops...?

    Are they 50 miles away or something...

    Just kidding with those shops.. Anyway do you guys think next step for a v6 cdti is it a good idea ? I do around 60 k a year tho ...
