really would bother with the 1.8 tbh. its so expensive to get more power with the 1800

I have a 1.8 too mate not really worth the hassle tbh..you will need to throw lots of cash to see any real gains..

you can fit a panel filter and derestrict the air box..fit the shorter intake and get a exhaust on it to make it feel a little 'perkier'..

I was gonna go dow the different inlet and maybe cam route but by the time i done that i could have something special..so i just chucked a set of 20's and some choice mods at it and lived with it

is it worth gettin a performance cam fitted to a 2.2 petrol. any info regardin this would be gr8

The 1.8's are a bit of a waste of time as far as anything even resembling performance goes. I agree with Dose that you might aswell try and make it look nice and forget performance!

Anyone who buys a 1.8 can't be that interested in performance anyway, or they would have bought one with a different engine. That's about the bottom line.

Yep... if own a 1.8 put you money into looks...

Get a v6 for tuning... or a 1.9cdti or 2.2 if like me you want to sit on the fence and try do both
