    Hi all,

Just bought a 1.9 cdti 150 sri, has 32.5K on clock, there was no service history with it so aam looking to start a maint programme on it. Any tips as to things to check for as signs of pending faults while it still in its 3 month warranty?

So far it seems sluggish for the power and torque it should have and I got better MPG the 1.8 petrol it replaced, I have it booked in to Evans Halshaw in Leeds in the new year to look into. it also seems to struggle in 6th gear at 70 is this normal?

    thanks for any tips

    and Merry Xmas to all

could be sticky egr or swirl pots. look at the how 2 on here to clean the egr

as for sevice book it in for a full service or a diy service i would do
    oil and filter
    fuel filter
    air filter
    brake fluid check
discs and pads replace if needed and a general good look around for faults or worn parts

    hope this helps mate

FYI - was told to avoid Evans Halshaw in Leeds like the plague, advised to use Evans Halshaw in Wakefield - which I did for my SRi CDTi 150 and can't complain - very good service.

I have used both (warranty work on my own car and general servicing on old co cars) and find them both atrocious. Wakefield will never do anything other that warranty work from now.
